Visiting SYC

Seattle Yacht Club is now open to reciprocal guests for dining and moorage. We look forward to seeing you at the Club.

As a private club, Seattle Yacht Club welcomes guests to our Portage Bay Mainstation for a variety of occasions. Guests of members are always welcome when accompanied by their member host. For public events, such as Opening Day and sailing classes, the public is invited to join in the fun while abiding by the regulations of the occasion. Guests attending private events, such as weddings, reunions, and business meetings, are invited to our Mainstation and Elliott Bay Outstation within the parameters of the private event. Reciprocal guests of select yacht clubs are also invited to use our restaurants, bar, retail and guest moorage.

Membership

Seattle Yacht Club welcomes applications for membership from Northwest boaters ages 10+ who would like to join our active community. SYC members are entitled to use our Portage Bay Clubhouse with casual and fine dining restaurants, banquet and meeting facilities, guest moorage, and permanent moorage (subject to availability). Members are also encouraged to participate in a wide range of regattas and cruises, and enjoy activities and dining events at the Club. Membership with SYC offers use of our Elliott Bay clubhouse facilities and discounted Elliott Bay moorage (subject to availability), use of our 10 Outstations, and reciprocal privileges to more than 225 other yacht clubs around the world.

Sailing School

Learn sailing the fun way at the Seattle Yacht Club Sailing School! We are returning to our traditional full day, four class programming in 2021. Modifications this summer will include smaller classes, mask requirements, and more single-handed sailing. Two sessions of Adult Lessons are also offered evenings. We look forward to another fantastic summer on the water with you!
