Message from the 2017-2018 President - Gina Purdy
What a wonderful holiday season we had! The club was glowing in all the holiday décor thanks to Gwenn Ellison and all her helpers! So many fun activities to enjoy and we hope you were able to participate in all our club has to offer in December while celebrating with family and friends!
We want to sincerely thank all of you who participated in our Holiday Stocking for Homeless Children drive – together we raised over $$$$$$ and helped to ensure lots of children received a gift they would not have without your support! We would like to thank chairs Mary Ann Liebert and Margaret Reyhner for another successful year of putting smiles on children’s faces!
January marks the start of our evening series so make sure to save the dates, grab your friends, and come join in on all the fun! Bunco returns on January 30 chaired once again by Francesca Shultz and Kit Rasmussen. If you have not attended before you for sure do not want to miss this very fun evening!
Make sure to sign up for the luncheon and Dinghy Outing this month too! Laura has done such a fabulous job this year with all our speakers and this month’s luncheon will be quite the presentation as our speaker Dianne Roberts has a very impressive resume! Diane Lander has organized another fun Dinghy Outing to Redmond Glass Blowing followed by a lovely lunch at Pomegranate Bistro.
Homelessness is epidemic in our city and surrounding areas and in the Edmonds school district alone there are over 600 homeless children in classrooms every day. The numbers are staggering and that is why we will be conducting a snack drive for the months of January, February, and March. We hope you will join us as we try to help these students flourish through good nutrition. For more information on this program and a complete list of requested snacks please see the Women’s Group Board on the 1st floor or contact Beth Featherstone at firstname.lastname@example.org
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!!
will continue collecting new/unused toiletries this year so please continue saving
all those travel size items and recruit family and friends to do the same! We
will have a basket on the check in table for luncheons and a larger marked box
in the coat closet all year.
