Dear Seattle Yacht Club member:

It’s time to volunteer to serve on one, or more, of Seattle Yacht Club’s various committees. Please find the Committee Volunteer Form on the reverse side of this letter.  The deadline for return of your form is Tuesday, September 30, 2008. 

Please make your selections with the understanding that you may not be chosen to serve on all/any of the committees for which you volunteer. Each chairperson carefully considers all the forms received, but may not be able to select every volunteer due to committee size limitations (usually a maximum of 15 members).

The first section of the form reflects the six (6) committees open to all members. You may serve on as many of these committees as you desire. Mark your choices with “M” for member, “S” for spouse. Please do not use “check marks.”

The second section reflects the four (4) committees on which membership is LIMITED. You may indicate the desire to serve on ONLY ONE (1) of these committees. Your form becomes NULL and VOID if more than one mark is made. Mark your choices with “M” for member, “S” for spouse. Please do not use “check marks.”

The third section of the form reflects the committees on which you may indicate the desire to serve on UP TO THREE (3). Your form becomes NULL and VOID if more than three marks are made. Mark your choices with “M” for member, “S” for spouse. Please do not use “check marks.”

N O T E:  You ARE NOT automatically signed-up to serve on any committee from year-to-year. You MUST indicate your desire to serve on the committee(s) of your choice each year. Volunteer to serve with the understanding that you MAY NOT be selected to serve on ALL / ANY of the committees you choose due to committee size limitations (usually 15 members). Forms received after that date will be discarded.
