September Sailboat DinnerThe Herreshoff Museum in Bristol, Rhode IslandThursday, September 8th in the Fireside Lounge Come take a virtual tour of the fabulous Herreshoff Museum in Bristol, Rhode Island, and see a professional documentary biography of Nathaniel Herreshoff, one of the most prolific yacht designers and builders of America's Cup boats. Come see and hear how Herreshoff and his brother created a dynasty in boat building, which lasted right up until World War II when the firm turned its considerable work force of over 3,000 to build Navy torpedo boats. For anyone who has wondered about the history of Nathaniel Herreshoff and his fabulous and fascinating yachts, this is not to be missed! So come prepared with a brief speech if you are interested in running, if not for an officer position, think of a committee you may want to be a part of!

Grand Opening Party at Elliott BayThe Elliott Bay Committee is hosting a Green Box/ Grand Opening Party at the Elliott Bay Clubhouse on Sunday, September 25 th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM to celebrate the completion of the interior redecorating project and the installation of our new entry canopy. The Clubhouse has all new furnishings, carpeting and paint, and is a great place for club members to hold their own celebrations. This is an opportunity to come and see what a wonderful facility this is. Hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer will be provided. Call the front desk for reservations. Space is limited. Prix Fixe ReturnsLast April a Prix Fixe menu option (three course meal for one set price) was offered in the Ward Room at dinner. The response to this offering was very positive, so we are bringing it back with a few small changes. Every entrée will be offered as a Prix Fixe selection, or it can be ordered individually. With the Prix Fixe selection, for an extra $5, you may choose any one of the Appetizers and any one of the Desserts. The Prix Fixe option will be offered beginning September 7th in conjunction with the new Ward Room Fall Menu, and will run through November 23rd.
