Education and Training
Boating safety and seamanship education is a priority for many Seattle Yacht Club members. Educational opportunities are available throughout the year at Powerboat and Sailboat Committee meetings, Women's Group programs, classes offered by the Marine Traffic, Environment and Safety Committee, and the Boating Education Series offered this year at our Elliott Bay Marina Clubhouse. While some of the programs are only available to club members, many of the events are open to the public.
This section of the SYC website is the centralized source of information for all educational events, both boating and social. We welcome ideas for additional educational programming; please send your suggestions to Peg Cheirrett at pegcheirrett@comcast.net. Committees offering public and member-only educational and training programs can request assistence from webmaster@seattleyachtclub.org in posting their programs here and in the member-only calendar.
