Dates:    October 31, November 1-2, 2008 (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)

Location:    Puget Sound. The start and finish of each race will be in the vicinity of Shilshole Bay and the area north of Meadow Point.

Time of First Warning:

• Friday: 1330 hours
• Saturday and Sunday: 1000 hours

Time Limit:    The time limit will be defined in the Sailing Instructions and will not exceed 8 hours per race.

Classes to Race:    PHRF-NW classes

Safety Requirement:    PIYA Category III

Other Provisions:

• Notice of Race amended by the SYC General Notice of Race.
• One Design Fleets – One-Design fleets with more than 10 boats registered should contact the event chairperson for consideration of a one-design start for their class.
• Qualifying Events – Only boats that qualify and are invited, at the discretion of the event chairpersons, will be eligible to register and compete. Boats may qualify based on their performance in selected races in the prior year. For more information, see the Qualifying Events section, below. Boats may also qualify at the discretion of the event chairpersons, which may include whole one-design classes with representative boats qualifying.
• Permanent trophy recognition will be awarded for each class.
• The race committee will have on-the-water discretion to run one or more races each day.

Awards:    1^st, 2nd, and 3rd place in class

Social Activities:    There will be parties after racing on Friday and Saturday at the CYC Shilshole clubhouse. The awards party will be after racing on Sunday at the SYC Portage Bay clubhouse.

Registration Fee:

• Less than 30': $125
• 30' to 39': $150
• 40' and over: $175
