From a wide collection of classic northwest sailboat photos, the Seattle Yacht Club has produced a calendar in the memory of Kelly O’Neil Henson. The calendar includes photos of many historic wooden sailboats dating back to the twenties and thirties, along with Seattle tide graphs for each month.

Kelly passed away in March 2004 as a result of a tragic traffic accident, in which she was innocently involved. This loss to the entire community has been hard to bear. Her love of sailing and talent for beautiful photography provided an outstanding contribution, especially to the youth of the Seattle Yacht Club. Her tireless work in all phases of sailing photography has been appreciated over the entire West Coast of the USA, as well as in New Zealand, with the America’s Cup Races. In Canada on May 2004, the Swiftsure Races from Victoria were also dedicated to Kelly’s memory. We will never forget her wonderful spirit and contribution to the sport of sailing that we all share.

The proceeds from the sale of these calendars will support the youth community sailing activities in this area, through the SYC Foundation, a non-profit organization.

These calendars will be on sale at $14.95 to the general public at many marine stores in the area.
