Event Guests


Whether you're a guest at SYC for a public event like Opening Day, or a private catered event like a friend's wedding, we want to make sure that you enjoy the hospitality of the Club .

Guest boaters planning to arrive by boat at Seattle Yacht Club for special events such as Opening Day or the Special People’s Cruise should make arrangements with the event coordinator ahead of time so that we may accommodate your vessel.Guests arriving by land should check with the event coordinator or their sponsoring host for arrival times or other details about the event. If you're arriving by car, you're welcome to use the club's parking lot.

Guests are always welcome at the club when accompanied by an SYC member.

While at the club, guests may pay for their purchases with Visa or Mastercard, cash and checks are not accepted. Guests are required to comply with all club rules and regulations, which include no use of cell phones inside the clubhouse, on the decks or the front porch area. Tipping is not allowed. Smoking is prohibited both inside the club and on the docks.

Seattle Yacht Club offers a range of dining options for members and guests. The Ward Room, SYC’s fine dining room, serves lunch and dinner. Informal jacket and tie are traditional, but not required. The Marine Room, located upstairs on the third floor, is casual and serves lunch, dinner and full service bar with hors d’oeuvres. Dining on the outside deck is available during the summer. A service charge is added to all food and beverage purchases, additional tipping is not allowed.

Opening Day

For Opening Day week, each boater planning to moor on Dock 0 must complete the Dock 0 Boat Registration Form prior to arrival. This registration form enables the Dock 0 coordinator and Seattle Yacht Club to have an accurate count of boats and persons attending the event.
