Friday Harbor Winter Moorage Initiative

The SYC Board at its April meeting approved a resolution recommended by the Budget Objectives Committee to have the Friday Harbor Outstation Committee research the feasibility of leasing up to one half of the vacant slips to SYC members during the off season (approximately October through May). Comments, questions, concerns, and support of this proposal may be sent to survey@seattleyachtclub.org.

Friday Harbor is a beautiful new facility located within a half mile walking distance of downtown Friday Harbor.  The lovely wooded setting looks out to Mount Baker. A sloped, paved, walkway, with no steps, leads from the street to the docks.

There are nine 52' slips on the northwest side and nine 60' slips on the southeast side, plus a 122' end tie. The main pier is ten feet wide, with six foot wide finger piers. 30 amp and 50 amp power and water are available.  There is ample depth in all slips except the two next to the shore. A small dinghy tie-up area is located at the head of the main pier.

Restrooms, showers, washer, and dryers are shoreside. There is onsite parking for five vehicles, with twelve additional parking stalls to the west on Harrison Street. One of the two buildings is planned for the manager's quarters. When mooring, be sure to check the current.  Welcome to another of Seattle Yacht Club's beautiful outstations.

WARNING: Tidal currents at the outstation are strong and multidirectional. Please use caution.
