Juniors

The Seattle Yacht Club Juniors enjoy an active calendar of events, both on and off the water.

Programs such as the annual ski trip to Whistler and the Junior decorated boat for Opening Day have long been favorite traditions of the group. New events, such as Junior dinners, bring folks together for the casual fun of a shared meal. The group has a great time creating memorable moments for Juniors throughout the year.

Across the club, Juniors are important to the success of such activities as the Special People’s Cruise, Children’s Cookie Decorating Party, Children’s Christmas Party, Children’s Santa Brunch, and Opening Day. These events are also excellent ways to be involved and to get to know others at SYC.

On the water, the Junior Race Team and Sumer Sailing School offer our younger members one of the truly outstanding youth sailing programs in the country.

The Juniors always welcome new members. Junior-class membership starts at age 10 and runs up to age 21, when members reach Active Intermediate status. If you’d like to learn more about SYC’s Junior program, please contact the SYC Membership Director.
