2011-2012 was a busy year for the Juniors.

The first of September, Ride the Ducks was the activity and it turned out to be great weather.  A group met up to take the tour through the city and out on to Lake Union.  In October, the kids tried out the Washington State shaped corn maze up in Snohomish and in November attended a screening of Warren Miller’s annual ski flick.

Over the holidays, the officers attended the Commodore’s Ball, hosted guests at the Special People’s Cruise and assisted the Entertainment Committee at the Children’s Christmas Party.

Just after the New Year, a group of Juniors used their Christmas card coupon to have a “Dress-up” Dinner in the Ward Room. In February, there was a movie night at Elliot Bay Station.

As Spring sprang, they were back at Elliot Bay Station for a New Junior Member BBQ and in late March, laser tag across Montlake at the old MOHAI.  The Forbis family allowed the group to do a tropical make-over on "Cetacean" for Opening Day. The following day 10 kids (with a couple of adult sailors for support) raced Tom Huseby’s J145 “Double Take” to victory at Mark Mayer.

There were several Seniors graduating, so a party was organized (back at Elliot Bay) to celebrate their milestone.  The camping trip to Blake Island in June got rained out, but we will try again next year. To round out a fantastic year, over the summer months, there were two of the Tuesday Family Sailing Nights that were chosen as Junior Meetups full of sailing and catching up.
